Although our services are NOT LIMITED to Larger Than Life Portraits, I have added a 5 step picture progression to share with
perspective clients, on how I work, using a portrait that was rendered for
the mother of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes", Ms, Wanda Lopes. The title of this
piece is, "Lisa Lives".
Please enjoy the witnessing of "Left Eye" of the world famous female group, TLC come back
to life before your eyes on canvas.
I Lightly sketch the outline and begin adding a light, base skin tone & colour on Lisa's face...
PROGRESSION II.
I begin drawing eyes onto the face, as it adds a focal point 4 me. Then I add different shades of colour on face & neck here to add balance and depth...
PROGRESSION III
I start adding facial highlights & even more indepth shadowing her face & neck for more dimension. At this point, I begin to feel the subject's energy coming alive.
Some clients think the details of the portrait looks good at this point, so I try not to let anyone in my studio until I complete the portrait to my satisfaction.
PROGRESSION IV
In this step, you will notice that I have began to add details of her hair, and render a deeper flesh tone, with beginning finer detail with smoothing the skin, as U can see starting with her shoulder. Lisa is slowly coming back 2 life.
PROGRESSION V
During this step, I am working in more detail in the smoothing process w/highlights & shadowing. Shoulders looking smooth!!!
TITLE OF PORTRAIT: LISA LIVES
I have a few small details to work out at this point, and autograph the final piece before presentation.

Ms. Wanda Lopes (pictured below) is very proud of the life like resemblance in the Larger Than Life portrait of her belated daughter, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes.
